I'm Back!

Wow. Okay so its been forever since I wrote in this thing and A LOT has changed.
I moved to Atlanta and live in the Vinings area. I do front end sales for a company called N3. I gradutated college and went from sleeping in and working at a coffee shop to waking up every morning, dressing presentable, and doing the whole "9-5."
I'm certainly not sure what I want to do as far as a job goes for the rest of my lide; but, this is a great place to be in the meantime!
I didn't have the internet for a long time and just got it. I have a lot of ideas for my blog so I'll be sure to give it a lot more love!!

Curse the curse words.

Out with some friends at local joint I found my tongue getting a little lose as the night wore on. Luckily my roommate Lauren decided to help me out. I've heard stories, never actually seen someone do it, of people putting tally marks on their hand every time they have had a drink (naturally if you don't know if you have had too much, you probably have), so in a similar fashion: we tallied every time i cursed on my hand. However, as the night wore on I think we both forgot. I woke up with only four marks, and a sneaking suspicion that this didn't really give justice to my night.
So far there is close 5 dollars and if nothing else I'm trying to be more aware. In addition, I haven't eaten fast food, nor do I really want it. I do love chick-fil-a chicken biscuits (how could you not? and if you are from the North don't get it mixed up with McDonald's weak attempt) but I haven't really want it. I know its not a strong argument, but I do love the convenience factor.
Now, for other goodness.
I leave on Friday to visit my best friend Kelley in Spain!! Its going to be an adventure and I can't wait to share it with my roommate Karen. We swallowed hard when we saw the flight cost, but quickly rationalized it with our free place to stay and young hearts and bodies! We are planning on packing little and just making it up as we go.
I had a meeting with an amazing person earlier this week. We went and got coffee (Two-story coffee, i think Jittery Joe's has better coffee but Two-story wins on ambiance). It made me really start thinking how I want to use my Marketing degree to help others. I've been looking a lot at non-profit jobs and hope something can come from it.
I'll post the majority of my "50 things to do before I die list" shortly. I'm going to keep working on ways to become a better person. Its not that I think of myself as bad, its just when you only have one shot at life on this earth, might as well be the best you can.

Its my first time, be gentle

So... this is my first attempt at this sort of thing. Honestly: I made fun of my roommate for the past four years about "blogging" her life. I guess thats the way a lot of these start.
Anyway, I finally felt the push to begin this when I wrote a list of the fifty things I wanted to do before I die. I realized that there are not only a lot of things I want to do, but a lot of things I want to work on to become the person I want to be. In addition, I'm graduating college in May. I'm graduating college IN MAY!!! That is a crazy statement, and a long time coming. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I love Marketing but in this economy, companies love sales. I want to stay in school but to get an MBA you have to have experience, which I understand and agree with but also resent. I'm sure I'll be posting on my efforts in this part of my life.
Now as far as personal change there a many things I want to work on. So far, since it is the season, I've decided to give up fast food for 40 days and have a "curse jar" for the next 40 days. I'm going to put .50 in jar everytime I curse. Ideally this will curtail my dirty mouth and make me more aware of what I'm saying as I head out into the scary depression like "real world."
I'll keep you posted on how things are going.
"You" being no one really since very few people know i'm even doing this! I told my roommate but strictly said she wasn't allowed to read it till I was ready...like i said, be gentle, its my first time.
Curse Jar $: $1.00
